The doctor called me in to review my tests results and it turns out he’s not really certain as to what is going on. In all areas I’m fine, except I had a low platelet count and a lot of white blood cells in a certain area, leading him to think that I had an infection there. However, I didn’t have any other signs of infection making it rather puzzling. The low platelet count is another thing, as platelets contribute to the clotting of blood – maybe that explains why I have been having so many nose bleeds.
I ended up taking another set of tests so the doc can compare the two results. I’m feeling a lot better and the pain is more or less gone. If the results are the same he is going to do an ultrasound to see what is going on. If they’re different, then I just have a good immune system capable of fighting off whatever it is that I had =)
