All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go…
Yesterday marked the last full day in the city of Victoria. What did I do? Nothing too special. The day was glorious – full of sunshine and warm. I couldn’t have asked for a better day weather wise. I started my day off by wandering around downtown Victoria. I closed my library account (!!!) and stopped myself from buying numerous cute outfits. I wandered down to Inner Harbour. I think that is probably what I’m going to miss the most – Inner Harbour in the summer filled with tourists, happiness and endless possibilities.
That night, the outgoing executive had our last retreat. We each made a dish and was just talked. It was great. Wine, amazing food and great people and conversation. We ended the evening with a game of Apples to Apples. Its pretty telling when we could almost guess which card came from which person.
Now, I’m writing from the ferry terminal. We’re waiting for the next ferry. Who would have known there could be a one sailing wait on a Thursday evening?! So random! The apartment is so empty. It is mostly a mess of things that need to be thrown out next week when I go back for a final clean and to turn in the keys. I still have some unsold furniture and that is a bit of a worry. The main thing is the couch. Everything else is small so worse comes to worse I’ll just take it back with me to Vancouver.
This weekend is Coastal Conference – probably my last AIESEC conference for awhile. I’m a faci as well as on the fun team so I get to lead sessions and come up with random games to make sure delegates are having fun. It should be an amazing weekend. I can’t wait!! ^_^
