Why is it that people feel the need to be rude on the internet? You go to any site where individuals are allowed to leave comments (for example, youtube) and any of the more popular videos, you would for sure find one or two (or maybe more) rude comments and then even more rude comments directed to the original comment. Usually there is no need for the original rude comment. If you don't have anything interesting to contribute or anything nice to say, why say it at all? If it were a face to face conversation, no one would behave that way! Just because you're on the internet and are more or less anonymous doesn't mean you can go about being rude to people. Are we turning into a culture of rudeness? Or are people lacking the proper social skills because of the large usage of internet communications instead of face to face interactions? Do people accept this rudeness as normal now?
