I was speaking to my parents last night and they mentioned to me that I was in the Bahamas when I was younger. To be honest, I didn’t know they were an independent country (ooops!) and I have very vague memories of being there. We were there on a cruise and I remember my dad drinking some kind of orange juice with alcohol in it. I wanted to try it and they gave me a sip. I remember it tasting terrible. Must have been pretty traumatic considering I still remember it years later.
So here is an updated list of the countries that I’ve been to:
- Canada - home
- US - of course
- Hong Kong – 1992, 2005
- The Bahamas - 1993
- France – 2002, 2008
- Cambodia - 2005
- Thailand - 2005
- The Netherlands, 2008
- Belgium - 2008
- Germany – 2008, 2011
- Austria – 2008, 2011
- Czech Republic – 2008, 2011
- Italy - 2008
- Vatican City - 2008
- Ireland - 2008
- Hungary - 2011
- Romania - 2011
- Poland - 2011
- Slovakia - 2012
- Croatia - 2012
- Slovenia - 2012
- Great Britain – 2012
So I’m sitting at 22 countries. I am planning on going to Spain in October and Serbia is only a short bus ride across the border, easy enough for a long weekend trip. That leaves me with one more country to get to 25. Need to investigate more options!
This weekend I’m heading to Romania again, but this time for a wedding! Next week I’m on holiday, going to Croatia for some sun, and beaches. I can’t wait!
