The best part about going down to the States or any country for that matter is investigating the store shelves and seeing what randomness you can find – especially at a grocery store!
A variety of different animal crackers. Every wanted a Chicken in a Bisket? I wonder if these are Chicken flavoured, or just salted. Or what about these pink Circus Animals? The colours just turn me off. I know we have Goldfish here, but what about RAINBOW goldfish? C. made us buy these, but we haven’t opened the package yet.
What about cheese balls?? I remember we came up with a joke for these, but now I can’t remember it.
C. loves Vitamin Water and imagine her delight when seeing a massive shelf filled to the brim with Vitamin Water! There were flavours here that I had never heard of before. The best part? They were on sale! 10 for $10! Of course C. stocked up. With the exchange rate, it was 98 cents each. Much better than the $2.25 most places charge for these here.
Then there was the return of the Goldfish – but in smaller packaging! Talk about adorable! I loved Goldfish when I was kid and if they had them in these packages when I was young, I would have been all over them. And yes – more of those coloured Goldfish.
I was entirely way too amused walking around Target. I’m sure if I went to an actual grocery store, I would have encountered even more randomness.
