Hello Exchange!

Tonight, I attended my Review Board through AIESEC. A review board is an interview with a panel to see whether or not an individual is a good candidate for the exchange process through AIESEC. Typically, they’re looking for someone who exhibits the 6 values of AIESEC and will be a good representative of AIESEC Canada when they are abroad.

I’m pleased to announced that I passed! Woo hoo! Headed off on exchange now! The best part of the night? One of the panelist, someone completely new to AIESEC, told me that I needed to go on exchange, that I deserved to go on exchange and that I was eager and ready to go. Apparently, I did very well in my interview, everything they were looking for and was their strongest candidate.

You have no idea what that means to me. To hear someone that I didn’t know and was new to the organization say that. It was such a huge validation of everything I was trying to accomplish through AIESEC. Whenever I set out to do something, I want to do it well. Why do it if you don’t give it your best shot?

And so, with the passing of this review board, I’m starting the next phase of my adventure in life: living and working abroad! Time to get matching!
