Raccoons!

The other day, I missed my bus coming back from work by 2 seconds.  I was running and the bus pulled away.  Clearly the bus driver wasn’t paying attention.  All the people on the bus were and they saw me…

While I was waiting for the bus, I heard some rustling behind me and when I turned around, at first I couldn’t see anything.  Then I saw two raccoons come out from behind a bush.  I was pretty startled.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a raccoon in real life (yes a sheltered life I live).  I guess they were trying to find a better place to be instead of at the bus station with so many humans. 

At one point, they disappeared behind another bush.  The the larger one came back out and went back to the original bush they were hiding in.  Another one followed it out!  It looked like a mother and its two kids. 

I wanted to take a picture, but by the time I got my camera out, they were gone and no way was I going to look for them.
