I read a lot of random blogs and find a lot of interesting tidbits of information. I’ve decided to share some of the more interesting ones here:
The city of Copenhagen has made life easier for cyclists in their city by installing railings for cyclists to hold onto or put their foot up at traffic lights. I think this is a great idea, making it easier to “start up” again when the light changes. I remember when I was in the Netherlands, at lights I would always rest my foot on the sidewalk because it was more comfortable than the ground and was easy to push off of when the light changed. Holding On to Cyclists in Copenhagen
Vitamin water, mineral water that has become vastly popular, is introducing a new flavour… inspired by Facebook. The flavour, called “connect” is black-cherry lime, will come complete with Facebook logos and language. Sounds like Facebook is trying to come up with as many ways as possible to earn money. There are so many punctuation marks that exists that we don’t commonly use. Here’s another one to add to the list – sarcasm. It’ll probably come in handy when trying not to come across as a douche online and to reduce miscommunication and potential fights… only if it becomes mainstream, but who wants to pay for it? Not me. New sarcasm punctuation mark makes punctuation cool again.
And finally, this is a bit old, seeing as its already the middle of January, but I think its a great way to show off what Google Wave can do (seeing as I have yet to find a practical application for it). Waving Goodbye to 2009:
