So despite all my whining and complaining about my co-op job, something relatively good happened. I was awarded the "Jarmila Vlasta Von Drak Thouvenelle Co-op Scholarship" for a University of Victoria Co-op student who is on a work term engaged in community development and/or service learning.
I laughed a bit at the part about my academic standing which in my mind is pretty bad. But that is okay. I got money =) Not a lot, but enough to cover most of my co-op fees (which is what the scholarship is for). This came as a total surprise. I didn't apply for it so I wondering how my name came up for it?
"While there were many qualified applicants, you were nominated for the Thouvenelle Co-op scholarship based on your academic standing and your proposed work placement."
