Oak Bay Tea Party

P. and I decided to head to the Oak Bay Tea Party. There was a huge crowd and people everywhere. I can't believe I missed this last year. We missed the parade, but we weren't too bothered by that. There were a bunch of midway games and rides.

We tried a few games, but we sucked at pretty much everything and lost a bunch of money. In the end I got a small bear and P. got a small dog (which is pretty ugly...). I felt so out of place - it was so awkward playing those games and just watching my money go down the drain. Its so pricy! I might as well just go and buy a stuffed animal - it would be cheaper and much cuter! P. says the fun is in winning it... I guess thats true, but still doesn't make up for the amount of money I spent on those stupid games...

P. and I got tickets for rides, but in the end we didn't even go. The lines were super long and I was starting to get cranky... I had a major headache and I was mad over losing money.

There were also concerts and various performers working the crowd. The fair was in the park right by Willows beach and people were definitely taking advantage of the gorgeous day.

The water was soo clear! It definitely made me want to go swimming, but it was also super cold. Its the Pacific Ocean so go figure huh?

All in all, the Tea Party was okay. I felt super old compared to everyone else there. I couldn't get over the fact that I was spending so much money, when I should be saving for Europe. I came home with a massive headache and guilt over my money. Bah hum bug.
