Hindsight is 20/20

P. and I decided to go swimming yesterday at Esquimalt Rec Centre. When we were on the bus, we noticed people dressed in interesting clothing. Weird. Once we got to our stop, EVERYONE, on the bus got off. Even weirder. The parking lot by the rec centre was filled. Slight weird. I cropped it up to being people grocery shopping. As we approached the rec centre, everything came clear: there was a fair type thing happening! It's Buccaneer Days. P. and I got excited - maybe it was the same company and we can use our ride tickets here!

But no. It was too good to be true. It was a different company. The rides were more adult oriented and there were waay less people. Practically no lines. If only we spent our money here instead of at Oak Bay.

In the end we didn't stay, sticking to our plan of swimming. After the disastrous weekend the week before I was not eager to spend (lose) more money.

But not everything was a loss. By a fluke, we got into the pool for free ($4 each) and had an amazing workout and time spent splashing around the pool. Now all I need is another $16 of free stuff and I'll be happy.
